www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middl…
I have to say that it takes bravery to attack the dictators in the middle east and that I take no joy in anyone being beaten. That said, I'm not sure I can fully empathize after seeing this guy's revolting antisemitic cartoon portraying Jews as if willing to cut off their arm so they will do better at begging for money. www.flickr.com/photos/30093953…

Ali Farzat, whose work is strongly critical of the government, was forced out of his car in Damascus, badly beaten and dumped at the side of the road, activists say.
He is now recovering in hospital.
The UN says more than 2,200 people have been killed in the crackdown on anti-government protests that began in mid-March.

You have to understand the Arab mentality in the middle east. From the beginning of Mahmoud Abaas, who is considered secular, all the way to the fundamentalists, the denial of the holocaust is the premiss of this education. So we denied the holocaust ever existed. So if we see the footage of the holocaust in the middle east we say, "How do they have such scrawny bodies? What kind of a diet plan were they on?", because [in our minds] the the whole thing was an enactment, it wasn't reality. [We thought] This was an enactment to [help] establis
